Painting and Drawing

What's it all about?

Students are introduced to a range of painting and drawing materials, techniques and approaches to subject matter. They explore their ideas and aesthetic preferences, through the study of various artists and art making processes. Students use the application of the Art elements and principles to create both drawn and painted artworks. Art appreciation, through knowledge of art terms and investigation of artworks, is an integral component of this subject.

What type of things will I do?

Students examine artworks in historical and cultural contexts. Complete a practical Production Folio.
