Graphics and Visual Design

What's it all about?

Graphic design conveys ideas and information to an audience through visual language. In this subject, students develop conceptual and aesthetic understandings of design solutions in the world around them. The ideation and visualisation of ideas, along with observational drawing, form the basis for researching and developing visual communication designs. Design thinking, which involves the application of creative, critical, and reflective techniques, is fundamental to learning in Visual Communication Design. Students gain insights into design, explore the role of visual communication designers, and examine their meaningful contributions to society.
