Making Arts
What's it all about?
Students are introduced to a range of various art making processes and art forms. Effective art practices are encouraged through the creative process. Students interpret and respond to art practices and artist works whilst developing their own artworks. Students are encouraged to be self-disciplined and develop personal creativity to enrich their visual perceptions and expressions. Interpreting and analysing art works are skills developed in this course.
What type of things will I do?
Students are expected to complete a series of practical works which demonstrate an exploration of ideas, design, skills, techniques and processes. Students are expected to complete a series of written tasks which demonstrate an ability to interpret and analyse works from contemporary and historical contexts.
What will I learn?
Exploration of various art forms.
Basic techniques and processes of 2 and 3 dimensional art.
Art elements and principles.
What are the possible pathways?
University and TAFE courses in Fine Art and Visual Art.
