Course Description
Certificate II in Applied Fashion Design and Technology provides participants with the knowledge and skills to
achieve competencies that will enhance their employment prospects in the fashion or fashion related
industries. Provides students with an introductory overview of fashion design. Provides a strong base for future fashion related studies.
Career Pathways
The VCE VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology program opens up many different training and
employment pathways. VCAA recommends study at the lower levels to develop industry foundation skills before moving to higher qualifications.
Careers pathways may include employment into the roles such as:
• Fashion designer patternmaker
• Textile merchandiser
• Style forecaster
• Fashion buyer
